Let's all hold hands

Two thoughts to ponder before you follow the link that I post.

1) I was reading one of those things they put on the Starbucks cups a while back and found the quote, "I think our children's generation will change the world much better than we've been able to if we educate them to focus less on being a patriot and more on being a global citizen."

2) Last winter quarter my political science professor gave us an essay to read. It was a critique on the US invasion of Iraq by a very savvy and intelligent woman from India. He said to us, "She speaks on behalf of a nation, and a hemisphere whose voice we must listen to."

This is a letter that the president of Iran wrote directly to the American people a few weeks ago. It is a compassionate plea to listen to the voices of those not in the position of greatest power (e.g. the US and several other "first world" countries). It's long, but I think that then more people that read it, the better.
