The wound! The wound!

Ouch, my knee hurts.

I was walking along the treacherously icy groud to get to Sacred Heart Church and help with a fundraiser for the trip to Mexico, and I slipped on a patch of black ice and pounded my knee pretty hard against the pavement.

At first I figured I'd just walk it off and continued walking, but about half way there I realized that my knee was really beginning to hurt, and if something was really wrong, I didn' want to exacerbate the problem by further aggravating it. So I turned around and walked/limped back to the dorm. I’ve been sitting in my nice, big cozy armchair, reading, for the past three hours with my knee propped up on a pillow, on the arm of the chair. But I’m already bored. I’m clearly not going anywhere tonight, so I’m coming up with ways to entertain myself. As soon as my computer battery finishes charging, I can watch a movie, but until then I’m sort of laid up without much to do. Bummer.

The good news is that I don’t think I’ve done anything serious—I may be able to walk normally by tomorrow. I think that it’s just a nasty bruise, not something actually broken or sprained or anything. Keep those fingers crossed…
