Bellingham is a great city, but I have come to two conclusions about it.
1) It is much cooler when you don't live in the dorms. Last year it was perfectly magical; this year it's so boring that it's exhausting. Or maybe that's just when you don't like the people you live with. (I'm already poking around about arrangments for next year with people whose company I enjoy).
2) When everyone that you care about takes off for the long weekend, I love it less. So I'm headed home this weekend to see the fam, instead of trying to entertain myself while my friends are gone.
This makes me wonder about next year. Many of my friends are going abroad in the fall. I might do that instead of the spring because that way I won't miss them all while I'm still in town, and I can work out living arrangements with them when we all get back home. That's my new plan, but again, it needs work.
