I intend to have an on-going spring cleaning... thing... in my room all weekend. The big stuff that I've done are: put up new pictures in frames, reorganized books (who can say "alphbetical order?" Yeah, baby!), and most especially made a writing dest. So now I have one desk for the computer and one at which to write so I won't get sidetracked when I get a new email or something. I put a bunch of really cool writing quotes on the board of the desk, and the only things that are ever allowed to be on it are things that I need to read or write- nothing else. I'm dead serious. I don't want the distractions.
Th big things that I have left to do are fold clothing (which is sort of heaped in piles in laundry baskets on the floor. Gross. And that's all anyone can see from the doorway) and moving furnature around. I have to move that bed away from the window. If I slam my face into the damn windowsill one more time I think the whole thing will just shatter from the shock.
Today is a beautiful, sunny spring day, albeit still a little chilly. Hello, rec center!
Last night I went to Lilly's for Mexican food, then we went on a field trip to the Xavier house to heckle the boys. We walked right in to game night, so we had a lot of fun playing Taboo. Those guys are really nice about letting people crash their home. I hope we didn't annoy them too badly...
After the gym and a shower, I need to hone in on critical theory and creative writing. I also have to learn my notes for choir. We're doing this gorgeous Ave Maria (in eight part harmony. It'll make ya cry...) and some other cool pieces, mostly with Shakespearian text (all from A Midsummer Night's Dream. Mmmm, I love springtime fairy music). LGC directed our last two rehearsals. I swear, that woman can do fantastic things to a choir. We have never sounded so good with only a week of rehearsal behind us before.
