Here are all of my thoughts on the day in bullet points. Enjoy the brevity!
- With some morbid glee I just clicked onto a link that reported that Paris Hilton has to go to jail (why do I take pleasure in someone else's pain? Maybe I just like seeing spoiled brats held accountable for their behavior). The article was two web pages long. Before the crime, charges, and sentence were reported, the author felt the need to describe what she wore to her hearing. They did the same thing when Wynona Rider was in court. Our media's priorities are appalling...
- I finished my lit theory paper after some frantic "oh-my-God-I-have-no-idea-what-the-hell-to-write" jitters (that lasted all of yesterday into the wee hours of this morning). I let all the crap roll around in my head for a week, marinating in my creative juices, and finally spat out a decent paper a half-hour before class started. I've never procrastinated that long before on anything. Then again, it's not like I wasn't planning ahead- I just hit a wall. I'm glad I scrambled over it in time.
- I watched as the Mariners surrenderred our dignity to the Yankees this afternoon while at the gym. The bottom of the first inning took one half hour, in which the Yankees scored five runs with only one out. (Although I just heard someone cheer "Woot! Go Mariners!" outside my window. Are we rallying? I should turn on the TV and look...) I don't think I've ever sworn so much whilst on an exercise machine.
