What did you just call me?

Today someone had the audacity to look me in the eye and call me stupid.

In all sincerity. He meant it.

Now, I may be many things, but I think I can categorically state that "stupid" is not one of them.

It turned out that he completely misunderstood what I had said, and once it was clarified, he seemed less convince of my stupidity.

If being called stupid were an Achilles heal of mine (e.g. if it were something that I feared or knew was true), I would have been really hurt. I'm hurt in a different way, in that someone thinks it's OK to talk to someone else like that.

Seriously, it was bad form on the person's part. I really hope he was sorry, though he never said it.
