Computers hypnotize you

It's amazing-- if you sit before a computer long enough (especially if you're writing a paper in a Word document, in which case the screen is a blinding shade of white), it hynotizes you.

I am getting sleepy... very sleepy...

I've been in the library since noon, chipping away at what will eventually be my final paper for my senior seminar. I spent the first hour running around getting all the reference books I needed (hey, it's a big library with multiple reference sections. Shut up.), and then three alternately pouring over said reference books and periodicals and hammering out a (very) rough outline of what my paper will look like. For the last hour and twenty minutes I've been trying to flesh out said rough outline on the computer, but it's hard because there is SO MUCH ground to cover (this is how courtly men failed to live up to chivalric code, this is why they blamed women, this is the standard women were held to, this is why that didn't work, this is how Camelot fell, then an argument as to how the fall of Camelot was inevitable, if not necessary, because men and women were held to unattainable standards and no one was going to be able to maintain the level of courtliness that would have perpetuated the kingdom. Does your brain hurt yet? Mine does...).

So, I'm about tuckered out. It's amazing how exhausting it is just to focus for so long. HOWEVER, I have already come quite far in the past five-and-a-half hours, so hopefully a few more intense sessions like this ought to get the job done. Then comes the editing phase...
