Is anyone else excited about the fact that Raul Castro's first state reception during his tenure was with-- not potential political or economic allies like Latin American leaders or Chinese officials-- but the secretary of state of the Vatican?!?
The Vatican! A traditional opponent of communism, and a critic of Cuba's human rights' track record. Does anyone else smell reform? Or repentance? It's a start, Mr.-Castro-the-younger.
Or, as Kathleen Madigan would say, "You are an idea man, Raul."
