The witch being the pain-in-the-ass two final exams combined this morning. I have no idea why I'm likening finals being over to the Wizard of Oz. Maybe I just want to prance around and sing like the Munchkins, since I've gone about that far 'round the bend. Christ Almighty, my brain is wrung dry of all things that resemble coherent thought (consider that a disclaimer for this blog...). I was up last night, doing my work until I realized how a very simple concept, one that I've known how to do for a year, was just not coming accross on paper. That was the cue to call it a night.
Unfortunately, I had been more optimistic previously in the evening, so after they booted us all out of the library (because they were closing, not because we were being loud or anything), I decided to down a mocha and plow onward. It was 11pm. Now, my judgement was slightly impaired because I was definitely not done with all that needed to be done. I claim overestimating my own stamina as an excuse for caffine that close to midnight. Chris said to smack myself in the forehead repeatedly until I realized what a dumb idea that was. Although he's one to talk; he had just finished a Mountain Dew around the same time. So there we were, two college kids hyped up on caffine, trying to study all night. He made it to midnight. I faltered soon after.
Anyway, now the exams are over and I can go to the gym, get things for baking, and finish my papers (but I have all day and all night, and really nowhere to be Tuesday or Wednesday, so no worries). The worst is over, now I can take it at my own pace. And in three days, I'll be home for Christmas!
